Meeting Market Opportunities and Farm to Food Access Needs: Marketing Cattle, Sheep, and Goat

This Wisconsin Local Food Purchase Assistance Program webinar will share on strategies to keep WI meat producers competitive while increasing wholesale capacity in a changing landscape, by engaging both ethnic and commercial livestock markets to feed Wisconsin communities.

Local food supply chain partners presenting:

  • Kyle Buehner, Food Procurement Manager at Hunger Task Force, will discuss the protein needs, and providing culturally appropriate meats for communities served by their network.

  • Abdullah Hussaini, Jr VP of Marketing at Equity Livestock, will discuss the benefits of both ethnic and commercial livestock markets. Equity Livestock is Wisconsin’s largest livestock marketing agency.

  • Stephanie Bowers, owner of Glorious Goat Ranch, will share her experience direct marketing sheep and goat while also utilizing sale barns and contracting with Wisconsin LFPA.
