From Farm to Food Access
Meet some of the farms, food pantry staff, and community leaders involved in the first year of the WI LFPA program.
This project is a collaborative effort between the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP), Marbleseed, The Wisconsin Food Hub Cooperative, and Wisconsin Farmers Union.
Wisconsin’s LFPA program is strengthening food and agricultural
supply chain resiliency, supporting Wisconsin farmers,
and distributing fresh nutritious foods to underserved communities.
PROGRAM GOALS
Support local producers and processors by building and expanding economic opportunities.
Broaden and strengthen partnerships of local producers and processors with food distribution partners and local food networks to ensure the distribution of fresh and nutritious foods in underserved communities.
